Hungary on exam

2010. 01. 13.

Small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) employing the majority of people with disabilities carrys the can for the crisis,  moreover from the year 2010. the hungarian enterprises have to pay a tenfold punishment if they do not employ disabled people.
At his hearing at the European Parliament, Hungarian Commissioner-designate László Andor responding to Adam Kósa’s question about the forsaid problem, sent Hungary to a postmortem.
Although the designate for employment, social affairs and inclusion does not plan actual legal actions in the interest of increasing the employment level of people with disabilities, he would support bigger expectations with the national government’s policies.

While the level of unemployment of people with disabilities has reached 90% in Hungary, the average number in the EU is around 40%. Adam Kósa had already asked President Barroso and Commissioner Almunia urging the real solution for this problem but they replied so they think this case belongs to national level and there is lack of EU competence.
In the name of 50 million people with disabilities in Europe, I’m still questioning this point of view, said Mr Kósa.

Andor agreed with Mr Kósa as the only efficient solution is promotion of job-creation and sanction.
